Lyttelton Harbour Seabed Contamination Reports

This report  presents a summary of the work undertaken to date by the Cawthron Institute (Cawthron 1995, 1996, including a summary by Kingett-Mitchell and Associates, Kingett-Mitchell, 1996), and of the report prepared by the OCEL/ESR/NIWA team for Environment Canterbury.The summary identifies the extent of sediment contamination and discusses the results of the toxicity tests undertaken by NIWA (CRC, 1997). In addition, the potential for sediment
migration within and outside the harbour area is also presented.
