Land Information Request

Environment Canterbury may hold information on natural and physical resources relevant to a property. You can request this information in one of 3 ways:

  1. Visit Customer Services and make a request in person.
  2. Print out the Land Information Request form (pdf document 399 KB file - you'll need Acrobat) and post or fax (03-365-3194) to Customer Services.
  3. Fill in the online land information request form, and click the submit button. You will receive an email confirming your request.

Each method of request will take up to 10 working days to complete.


Cost

A $150 + GST ($168.75) fee will apply for this service.  Payment must be made on application (except for account holders).

  • A request for information solely about the contamination status of a land parcel will be dealt with free of charge.
  • A request for information about contamination plus 1 other items will cost $150 + GST Please print out the Land Information Request Invoice and post it with payment to Customer Services, or bring it into one of our offices to pay in person.

Accepted methods of payment are:

  • Cheque
  • Cash
  • EFT-POS (Currently only available at our Kilmore Street office)
  • Credit card (Currently only available at our Kilmore Street office)

Businesses that order Land Information requests on a regular basis can apply for a billing account. Please print out the account request form and post or fax (03-365-3194) it to Customer Services. Account holders will be sent invoices for each Land Information Request, which are payable by the 20th of each month.
