Hearings and Officer Reports

This website page provides information on hearing time and dates for all hearings in relation to the NRRP and will be updated periodically to indicate 4-6 months ahead what topics will be heard during that period. 

There are a number of Variations to the NRRP reaching the hearing stage. Variation 1 is very big and for this reason hearings will be conducted in stages, based on particular chapter provisions. 

All submitters, and further submitters, who indicated they wished to be heard, will be advised by letter of each hearing stage. This will occur several weeks ahead of the hearing, and the letter will also advise what chapter provisions are to be addressed.

Officer Reports for NRRP Variations

Officer reports are produced under section 42A of the RMA by council staff to provide guidance to the hearing panel in accepting or rejecting submissions. Officer reports are made available prior to the relevant hearing stage and a copy sent to all submitters who indicated they wish to be heard for that stage.
