Groundwater Allocation Limits: Guidelines for the Canterbury Region report

The objective of this report is to determine methods of estimating groundwater allocation limits, and to apply those methods to the Canterbury Region. Preparation of this report was prompted by concerns from the Consents Section over significant increases of groundwater usage in many areas over recent years, as well as the preparation of the Natural Resources Regional Plan, which addresses water allocation issues.
