Energy

Put the bright light on energy issues: what types of energy do we currently use, where does it come from, and what are some of the alternatives? How can we make the best use of the energy we produce? Renewable, non-renewable, energy consumption and energy efficiency… we all need to start thinking sustainably so we will be able to power the future.

What we offer

Beat the Rush: a free, interactive programme for Year 7/8 students and teachers. This facilitated programme focuses on alternative energy sources with a specific link to public transport and includes student and teacher booklets, CD-ROM and song.

E-Box - Power the Future: the January 2004 issue of Your environment, Canterbury (E-Box) discusses energy sources both current and future. Create mini solar, wind and hydro generators in your classroom.
