Lower Waitaki Group - Below Waitaki Dam Applications

The Lower Waitaki Group Hearing is to hear and decide 55 resource consent applications in the Lower Waitaki Catchment (downstream of Waitaki Dam). This includes 42 applications for water permits, and 13 associated land use and discharge permits from the Waitaki River mainstem and tributaries, including the Hakataramea River, Maerewhenua River, Otekaieke River, Kurow River and their tributaries.

Please note the Lower Waitaki Group hearing is adjourned for the week of 25 – 29 August, and will reconvene Monday 1 September 2008, at 12.30 pm

The hearing of these applications will commence on 11 August 2008 in Oamaru and is set to run for two weeks in August. It will then adjourn for one week, recommencing on 1 September 2008 in Oamaru, for a further two weeks.

Please note that the due date for submitter evidence has been extended to Thursday 28 August 2008. Please ensure that your evidence is e-mailed to denise.bester@ecan.govt.nz.
