Emissions from a wide range of industrial and commercial processes can have an impact on air quality, resulting in public nuisance and/or adverse health effects.
To address the air emissions from your site you should ensure:
- Chimney stacks are the required height and unobstructed.
- Air pollution control systems are properly installed and regularly maintained.
- You have an emergency procedure for accidental releases to air and an emergency contact list.
- You have consent from Environment Canterbury.
