Domestic Hazardous Waste Drop Off
There is no operational domestic hazardous waste drop off in the Waimakariri District. As part of the Hazardous Waste Management Strategy it is proposed to install a domestic hazardous waste drop off at both transfer stations. However, these are not operational yet.

Landfill
There are no operational municipal landfills in the Waimakariri District. Waste from Waimakariri District goes to Kate Valley Sub-Regional Landfill in Hurunui.
