The Hurunui-Waiau Zone Committee's Zone Implementation Programme (ZIP) is the first to be prepared under the Canterbury Water Management Strategy (CWMS). It is a major milestone for the collaborative and community-led vision of the Strategy.

Following extensive community stakeholder and community engagement, the ZIP brings together the committee's reccommendations on how to achieve the targets in the CWMS.

Although the ZIP will not be subject to another round of feedback, people will have a chance to share their views as part of the statutory processess for the Hurunui-Waiau Regional Plan, due for notification in September 2011.
