Environment Canterbury founded the Canterbury Road Safety Forum in 1991 with a vision to inform decision makers of current road safety issues and invite discussion on possible solutions.
The Forum has seen elected members, representatives from road safety partners and local authorities and other interested parties come together to discuss national road safety plans, alcohol, speed, fatigue, roadside hazards, community involvement, active transport and transport planning for an ageing and mobile community.
Downloadable copies of recent Road Safety Forum presentations are available on the right under ‘Related Documents’.
For further information about the forum, please contact Maureen Bishop, Regional Road Safety Co-Ordinator, Environment Canterbury on 03 308 8377 or by email at maureen.bishop@ecan.govt.nz
