This page shows a table of minor errors and their amendments in the operative Natural Resources Regional Plan.
The Resource Management Act, Schedule 1 Clause 20A, allows Councils to amend an operative plan to correct minor errors. Clause 20A states:
“A local authority may amend, without using the process in this Schedule, an operative policy statement or plan to correct any minor errors”
The following table is a summary of the amendments to correct minor errors in the operative Natural Resources Regional Plan. These have been approved under delegated authority and took effect from the date they were authorised, as shown in the right-hand column.

In Schedule WQN5 amend the text above Table WQN17 by changing existing reference to Table WQN16 to Table WQN17, and existing reference to Table WQN17 to Table WQN18.

The Hearing Committee made changes to the number of tables but renumbering of subsequent tables and references to them was not fully carried through to all parts of the chapter.

Precede the word “located” in the activity description of Rule AQL1A with the word “not” so that the rule will read as follows:
“Notwithstanding rule AQL2, and except where prohibited by Rules AQL5 and AQL6, the discharge of contaminants into air from the burning of solid fuel in any small scale solid fuel burning device installed on or after 1 January 2004, which is not located on a site that is:
(a) less than 2 hectares; or
(b) within an urban area; or
(c) within a clean air zone
is a permitted activity.” |
Clauses (a), (b) and (c) of Rule AQL1A should be preceded by the word “not” in order to reflect the title and the intent of the rule.
