Proposed Plan Change 1 (Christchurch, Kaiapoi, Ashburton) and Variation 16 (Rangiora) proposes a permitted activity rule to allow for the use of non-complying or prohibited small scale solid fuel burning devices (including open fires) in the event of an electricity outage.

Any Submitters or further submitters may appeal to the High Court in Christchurch on points of law within 15 working days of receiving notification.
Based on the public notice being mailed on the 26 November, the 15 day appeal period will be deemed to end on the 17 December 2010.
