Variation 15 of the Natural Resources Regional Plan 

Proposed Variation 15 addresses outdoor burning in residential and living zones and proposes to make outdoor burning of paper, cardboard, untreated wood and greenwaste a non-complying activity in residential and living zones where kerbside collection, recycling, or transfer stations exist, and a permitted activity (subject to conditions) where they are not provided.

Environment Canterbury, on the 27 November 2010, publicly notified the decisions on submissions on proposed Variations 15, 16 and Plan Change 1 of the Natural Resources Regional Plan, Chapters 1 (Overview) and 3 (Air Quality). Decisions and public notice of decisions linked below.

Any Submitters or further submitters may appeal to the High Court in Christchurch on points of law within 15 working days of receiving notification.

Based on the public notice being mailed on the 26 November, the 15 day appeal period will be deemed to end on the 17 December 2010.
