The Proposed Pareora Catchment Environmental Flow and Water Allocation Regional Plan (the Proposed Pareora Plan) was notified on 7 August 2010, along with Variation 18 to the Proposed Natural Resources Regional Plan. Submissions for the Proposed Pareora Plan closed on Friday 1 October 2010, and submissions for Variation 18 closed on 3 September 2010.

The Summary of Decisions Requested was notified on 13 November 2010 and further submissions close on Wednesday 1 December 2010.

The Proposed Pareora Plan introduces objectives, policies and rules to manage water resources in the Pareora Catchment. Variation 18 removes those parts of the Proposed Natural Resources Regional Plan as they apply to matters that are now addressed within the Proposed Pareora Plan.
