Variation 4 to Chapter 5 of the proposed Natural Resources Regional Plan (NRRP), changed the boundaries of some Canterbury Groundwater Allocation Zone limits in Schedule WQN1, and added an annual allocation block for each zone in the proposed NRRP.
Variation 4 was notified on 23 June 2007. Submissions closed on 3 August 2007 and 110 submissions were received. Further submissions closed on 14 November 2007. Variation 4 was incorporated into the Variation 1 hearing process. Decisions on submissions were publicly notified on 23 October 2010. Read the

Stage in the Variation process: Appeals
As of the 23 October 2010, the decisions are considered to have amended the Variation as notified. Any person who made a submission on Variation 1, 2, 4 or 14 has the right to appeal decisions on their submission to the High Court, but only on points of law, within 15 days of receiving notification of decisions. Based on the public notice being mailed on 22 October, the 15 day period ended on 16 November 2010.
