Sheep grazing is the preferred farming option on Environment Canterbury leased land. A mix of dry beef cattle and sheep grazing is possible on selected areas.

 

Dairy farming on Environment Canterbury leased land can be carried out when it is compatible with the generally light soils, groundwater and surface water protection.
