The Environment Enhancement Fund supports landowners to protect or restore areas of high biodiversity value on private land. It is a contestable fund which provides grants of up to $20,000 to individuals and groups working to protect and restore Canterbury's indigenous biodiversity. Schools and community groups can apply for funding for projects on public land through the Honda TreeFund.
