Environment Canterbury hasn't decided the amount of the fine. There are set infringement fees for offences against sections of the Resource Management Act.
Environment Canterbury rules state that using an old woodburner or open fire in Christchurch is not permitted, therefore to use one is an offence against the RMA and the set fee for this type of offence is $300
