Environment Canterbury has Clean Air Zones for Christchurch, Rangiora, Kaiapoi and Ashburton. If your property is located within one of these zones, you may be restricted as to what type of home heating you can install. There are are also specific outdoor burning regulations for properties within Clean Air Zones.
