The planting plan does not need to be done by a professional and can be a hand drawn sketch to show the species and where the plants are to be planted. It also gives the committee an opportunity to see that some thought has gone into the project, and to ensure the right species are being used for the project site. If it is a stream bank or drain being fenced or planted, consideration will need to be given to access if it is mechanically cleaned. Biodiversity Officers can help with species selection and decisions around access for cleaning etc.
