Clean soft drink or juice bottles are ideal.  Don't use plastic milk containers as they aren't designed for long term storage. 20 litre containers can be purchased from retail shops.

 

Fill your containers until overflowing to remove any air bubbles then tightly screw on the lid.  Store in a cool / dark place and in different locations around your house (e.g. garage, garden shed, laundry cupboard etc).  Due to the high quality of Christchurch water, no treatment is required and can be stored for a year.
