Because it is a contestable fund, sometimes there is simply not enough funding to go to each project that is submitted. Applications are ranked in order of priority so it depends on what other projects are in the same round. Biodiversity Officers may be able to assist you in looking at other funding schemes that are available.  You may wish to speak to an officer to discuss the details of your application.
