You should try to avoid using any material that may be flammable,
especially when mixed with oils or fuels. For example, sawdust
is sometimes used as an absorbent despite not having very good
absorption potential, but when used on oil or fuel spills becomes a
highly flammable mixture which may become a fire risk.
