It depends on where the pollution took place.

If the spill is on a road controlled by  New Zealand Transport Agency then please call them as they are responsible.

If its on any other road, road side or gutter Territorial Authorities are responsible.

If the spill is in waterways an Environment Canterbury Environmental Enforcement Officer will follow the incident up.
