Environment Canterbury houses the Regional Emergency Management Office and is the administrating authority for the Canterbury CDEM Group. The CDEM Group is a joint committee of all councils in Canterbury (except for Waitaki District), including Environment Canterbury.

 

The Canterbury Civil Defence Emergency Management Group’s job is to plan and co-ordinate civil defence activities in the region, in association with territorial authorities and Environment Canterbury.
