Environment Canterbury Regional Council will be undertaking stop bank upgrade works located near Dickeys Road, Rushmore Drive, Langley Place and Darroch Street. The work generally includes raising the level of the existing stop bank, installation of culverts and reinstatement of access ways.
The works started week commencing 22 November 2010 and construction will temporarily cease from 17 December 2010 until 10 January 2011.Working hours are Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm. Construction is expected to be completed by April 2011. We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause and thank you for your co-operation.
During the work it will be necessary to impose temporary closure of the public access over the stop bank located at the end of Darroch Street, an alternative access via Rushmore Drive is available to pedestrians. Every effort will be made to complete the work as quickly as possible to minimise disruption and inconvenience.
