ECan only identifies specific land uses associated with hazardous substance use, storage or disposal listed on the Ministry for the Environment’s Hazardous Activities and Industries List (HAIL).

The information we collect will not tell us if a site is contaminated or not. The only way to know if there is contamination and about the severity of contamination is to have the site investigated.
