Environment Canterbury Council to finalise Annual Plan

On Thursday 16 June the Council will finalise its Annual Plan | Mahere ā Tau 2022/23.

The draft Annual Plan, which was subject to public consultation in March this year, highlighted three topics for public consideration:

  • proposed changes to the bus fare structure,
  • flood recovery and protection,
  • and future funding for action in response to climate change.

Following deliberations held on 24 May 2022, Council signalled changes to address climate resilience, social equity, and rates affordability.

At this week's Council meeting, the Council will finalise the plan and strike the rates at a public meeting. View Council papers.

Other meeting agenda items include the Councillor Expenses Reimbursement policy, local body elections 2022 and a climate emergency update.
