Highlights a reason to celebrate as Annual Report is adopted

We have released our adopted Annual Report for the financial year 2021/22.

Chair Peter Scott said it was only when you got the chance to read something like the Annual Report and take a minute to stop and reflect that you realise what has been achieved in the past year.

“Of course, not everything has gone smoothly, but we would like to take the opportunity to pause and celebrate all who have contributed to our work in the last financial year. Not just Councillors and staff, but especially the community. You have really helped us deliver for our environment.

“The year has had its ups and downs, due in part to the impacts of COVID-19. Not only did we experience restrictions due to the protection framework, but staff were also affected and experienced illness just like many in our community. We thank you for your patience as we battled through these impacts and look forward to what the year ahead will bring,” Chair Scott says.

Summary available online

A snapshot of this information, known as our Annual Report Summary, is available for the first time as webpages on our website.

“In the past, we have prepared this information in a document, but this year felt that we wanted to showcase our performance in a more accessible way for our community. I encourage you to take a look,” Chair Scott says.

An Annual Report is a key public accountability document that compares Council's actual performance for the year against the forecast in the Annual Plan. The report outlines the services, key projects and initiatives we undertook over the past 12 months, where money was spent, and how we performed as an organisation.
