Youth Voices

Each year our Youth Engagement Team run a number of hui, often in partnership with other organisations, ranging from 2-hour discussion sessions through to summits and multi-day residential programmes.

These events provide opportunities for interested young people to come together to discuss issues, find out further information, share ideas and network. We usually ensure a good range of speakers at these events, including relevant Environment Canterbury staff as well as elected representatives.

It is about providing space for young citizens to engage with issues of importance to the long-term sustainability of our region.

If you want to know more or to make sure your name is on our contact list for upcoming events, email the Youth Engagement and Education Team at education@ecan.govt.nz or send us a message on our Facebook page.
