Barrhill Chertsey Irrigation Company have applied to Environment Canterbury and Ashburton District Council for consent to construct, maintain and operate a large water storage facility to store up to 1.6 million cubic metres at 577 Barkers Road, Methven. Water from the facility will be made available to existing irrigators (to improve their reliability).
