Conditions
- The appliance shall be operated at all times in accordance with the “Installation and Operating Instructions” supplied with each appliance.
- A certificate shall be submitted to the Canterbury Regional Council within 12 months of approval, and annually thereafter, signed by a competent person, verifying that the model being sold as the Masport LE4000 Provincial insert woodburner, with heat re-circulating fan operating on low speed, and without wetback, is the same as that which was tested and described in ARS 06/1381R.
- This approval applies only to the specific model described in the testing reports, documents and drawings accompanying the application for authorisation.
- A permanent label shall be attached to each appliance in a position that is readily visible after installation. The labels shall contain the following information:
- the manufacturer of the appliance (Glen Dimplex Australasia Limited);
- the unique model name (Masport LE4000 Provincial);
- the unique serial number of the appliance;
- the number of the test report in which the appliance is described (ARS 06/1381R);
- the authorisation number (071591);
- the approved fuel for use in the heater (soft wood);
- the measured (average) particulate emission rate in grams per kilogram (0.6 g/kg);
- the measured emission rate per unit of useful heat output (46 mg/MJ);
- the percentage measure of thermal efficiency (67%);
- the range of heat outputs tested (5.7 kW – 9.2 kW);
- the statement “Performance may vary from test values depending on the actual operating conditions; and
- space to allow the installer to place the date of installation.
- There shall be no water heating device fitted to the appliance.
- The heat re-circulating fan shall have one low speed and shall function whenever the appliance is operating.
- The only fuel to be used in this appliance shall be wood that meets the following criteria:
- less than 25% moisture (dry weight);
- has not been treated with preservatives or impregnated with chemicals or glue;
- is not chipboard, particle board or laminated board; and
- is not painted, stained or oiled.
