Woodsman ECR NoVo details

A certificate shall be submitted to the Canterbury Regional Council within 12 months of approval, and annually thereafter, signed by a competent person, verifying that the model being sold as the Woodsman ECR NoVo freestanding woodburner (without wetback) is the same as that which was tested and described in SL 0363. 

This approval applies only to the specific model described in the testing reports, documents and drawings accompanying the application for authorisation.

A permanent label shall be attached to each appliance in a position that is readily visible after installation. The labels shall contain the following information.

1. The manufacturer of the appliance (W,H, Harris Limited)
2. The unique model name (Woodsman ECR Novo)
3. The unique serial number of the appliance
4. The number of the test report in which the appliance is described (SL 0363)
5. The authorisation number (153733)
6. The approved fuel for use in the heater (soft wood)
7. The measured (average) particulate emission rate in grams per kilogram (0.9 g/kg)
8. The measured emission rate per unit of useful heat output (67 mg/MJ)
9. The percentage measure of thermal efficiency (67%)
10. The range of heat outputs tested (5.4kW – 10.1kW)
11. The statement “Performance may vary from test values depending on the actual operating conditions”
12. Space to allow the installer to place the date of installation

There shall be no water heating device fitted to the appliance.

There shall be no circulation fan fitted to the appliance. 

The appliance shall be operated at all times in accordance with the “Installation and Operating Instructions” supplied with each appliance. 

The only fuel to be used in this appliance shall be wood that meets the following criteria:

1. Less than 25% moisture(dry weight),
2. Has not been treated with preservatives or impregnated with chemicals or glue,
3. Is not chipboard, particle board, or laminated board, and
4. Is not painted, stained, or oiled.
