Decision
This district wide application (CRC167468) seeks to authorise existing and new stormwater discharges from the townships of: Rolleston; Lincoln; Claremont; Castle Hill; West Melton; Kirwee; Darfield; Rakaia Huts; Tai Tapu; Prebbleton; Southbridge; Hororata; Doyleston; Dunsandel; Glentunnel; Lake Coleridge; Leeston; Springfield; Springston; Whitecliffs; and Arthurs Pass.
Note that discharges from Rolleston, Lincoln, Claremont, Castle Hill, West Melton, Kirwee, Darfield, and Rakaia Huts are already authorised and their future inclusion in this consent will allow for the future growth of these townships.
Consent is sought:
- to discharge operational phase stormwater where discharges are from the Applicant’s reticulated network (including discharge to ground and to surface water) within the stormwater management areas.
- for the discharge of stormwater associated with the construction and maintenance of the Applicant’s infrastructure within each township.
The applicant originally applied to authorise these discharges on a township-by-township basis. A single discharge permit for the entire district is, however, now sought. This amalgamates the outstanding township applications with the discharge permits which have already been obtained.
A consent duration of 20 years is sought.
