If the environmental effects of your consent application are more than minor, the resource consent will require notification under Section 95 of the Resource Management Act (RMA)(external link).

When we make a decision on a resource consent, we consider:

  • the effects on the natural environment
  • how the activity will affect other people's use and enjoyment of the environment.
