Report a wallaby sighting
To control wallabies and stop them spreading, we need to know where they are. This is where we need your help - your reports are critical to stopping their spread.
Seen a wallaby - report it now
If you see a wallaby outside of Canterbury’s containment area (view the wallaby containment map), dead or alive, please report it.
The containment area is bordered by three river systems: the Rangitata in the north, the Waitaki in the south, and Takapō/Tekapo in the west.
You can also report signs of wallabies, including footprints or scat (poo). If possible, please take a photo to help us verify the animal and sign.
