Meridian Energy Limited proposes to replace existing water and discharge consents associated with the continued operation of the Waitaki Power Scheme.

  • CRC240441-CRC240449 (inclusive): water permits relating to the damming, diverting, taking and use of water. These consent applications seek to replace 18 existing water permits by grouping related activities.
  • CRC240450 – CRC240549 (inclusive): discharge permits, relating to the discharge of water and associated contaminants to water. These consent applications seek to replace 23 existing discharge permits by grouping related activities.

A consent duration of 35 years is sought.
