Resource Consent Application

Waimakariri District Council (the applicant), has applied for a suite of resource consents to construct a stormwater management area (SMA) to service subdivisions being constructed on adjacent sites,

In particular, the application relates to:

1. permit to take groundwater for construction phase dewatering purposes and to take water during the operation of the Stormwater Management Area
2. permit to discharge construction phase stormwater, dewatering water, water treatment chemicals and contaminants to surface water
3. permit to discharge operational-phase stormwater to surface water and to land from a stormwater management area
4. consent to undertake earthworks within the riparian margin of Mill Road Drain
5. consent to undertake earthworks and to install structures within the bed of Mill Road Drain.

The associated earthworks and discharges are to be located at 368 Mill Road Ohoka, legally defined as Lot 1 DP 541399 SUBJ TO & INT IN ROW Changes from 382 Mill Road.

 A consent duration of five years for all construction phase related consent and 35 years for all operational, ongoing consents is proposed.

Any person may make a written submission on any of the above applications.

A submission should include your name, address and phone number; the applicant’s name and consent application number.  A submission must state your reason for submission, whether you support or oppose the application and if you wish to be heard in support of your submission.
