Regional parks school holiday Facebook competition

School holidays have started! With the weather warming up, these holidays will be a great time to get outdoors with the family.

Environment Canterbury’s Regional Parks have it all on offer, including horse-riding, mountain biking, nature walks, bird-watching, great picnic spots and more. Find out more about each of our Parks here.

We love to see Canterbury families out and about enjoying the various activities in our Parks.

Tag the Environment Canterbury Regional Parks Facebook page in your photos enjoying one of the many activities available in our Parks these holidays, and go in the draw to win a family jet boat ride on the Waimakariri River with Jet Thrills.

The competition closes on Monday 23rd October, 9pm.  The winner will be chosen by Environment Canterbury’s Park Rangers after Tuesday 24th October 2017.

Competition Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions
  1. The competition runs from Monday 2nd October to Monday 23 October 2017.  All entries must be received by 9pm on Monday 23 October 2017.
  2. The competition is open to residents of Canterbury of all ages, except for employees of Environment Canterbury, affiliated businesses/agencies, or their family members.
  3. Information on the prize and how to enter into this promotion form part of these conditions.  Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  4. Images submitted must have been taken in one of Environment Canterbury’s Regional Parks, including, Waimakariri River Regional Park, Ashley Rakahuri Regional Park, Lake Tekapo Regional Park, and also Northern Pegasus Bay, over the specified time period of 2 October to 23 October 2017.
  5. Entries must be submitted via Facebook by tagging Environment Canterbury Regional Parks in the photograph or sharing it directly to the Environment Canterbury Regional Parks Facebook page.
  6. Images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them.  It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of any people in the image and do not infringe on the copyright of any third party or any laws.
  7. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants.  However, by providing an image for the competition, each grants Environment Canterbury perpetual licence to use the image in any of its publications, websites, social media accounts, and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
  8. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
  9. There is one single prize of a Jet Thrills Braided Blast family pass, for up to two adults and three children up to the age of 15, valued at $280.00.  The prize is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
  10. The winner will be notified via a private Facebook message, and posted on the Environment Canterbury Regional Parks Facebook page, within seven (7) days of the closing date of the competition.
  11. Environment Canterbury reserves the right to redraw the prize if the winner doesn't contact us within 7 days after the draw.
  12. Environment Canterbury’s decision is final on all matters related to this promotion and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. Entrants acknowledge that the Environment Canterbury reserves the right, at its discretion, to use the winner's name and photograph for publicity purposes. The information provided by you is collected, used and retained for the purposes of this competition.  You have a right under the Privacy Act to access or correct any information Environment Canterbury holds about you .
